My love of art and desire to draw started as soon as I could hold a pencil and scribble the hours away. At school it was one of the few subjects I really enjoyed. After leaving school, I experimented with various jobs but my desire to draw persisted. I eventually returned to University, as a mature student of 21.
After graduating with a degree in Illustration and Design, I began a career as an Editorial Artist for a South of England newspaper. My illustrations took on many forms and allowed me the experience for many years to develop techniques albeit at a momentous pace.
I then went on to work for a London based E-commerce Web Design and Consultancy firm. But painting and drawing beckoned and i decided to try my hand at freelancing, producing work for clients such as The Metro, Jongleurs Comedy Club, and various Illustrative commissions from star signs to a book jacket, book illustrations to a CD cover, plus more.
After many years of working, I devoted myself to become a full time mum and housewife, pencil and paper taking a backseat. I then moved to the South Downs, where I’m surrounded by beautiful countryside. It has inspired me to once again create…and I have found a new love of drawing and painting and so I created my website The ArtZoo, where I hope to continue my journey as an artist and share my love for Art.
